Join us on June 18, 2024, starting at 11:30 AM for our member meeting and Training held at the TVF&R Station 56 and South Operating Center, 8445 SW Elligsen Rd, Wilsonville, OR 97070

As part of the meeting, we will be voting on revised By-Laws. Your Board has been working on these for several months and feel that we are providing the association with a good product.  Below here is the new document.

Make sure and register through the website so we can get an accurate count for lunch. As a reminder, we now have a membership fee that covers the meeting lunches and discounted training cost for the fall trainings. Please register to become a member to take benefit of the discounts. If you are bringing a guest, please register them as well. 

Training Presentation

We will have Cale Baker, Lead Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Vancouver present on WA State / City of Vancouver requirements for fire alarm design and install requirements - Topics covered are:

  • 2021 International Fire Code, WA State Amendments, and City of Vancouver Municipal Code Requirements (Pertaining to Fire Alarm)
  • City of Vancouver endorsement / certificate requirements for fire alarm contractors
  • Fire Alarm Plan Review Submittal Requirements
  • FACP Replacements / Upgrades (Retroactive Triggers)
  • Fire Alarm Acceptance Testing
  • Smoke Control / High-rise requirements (Basics)

Presenter Bio

  • 6 years with Vancouver Fire Department
  • Lead Deputy Fire Marshal – Currently Assigned New Construction and Fire Investigation Programs, Previously Assigned Fire Code Enforcement
  • 3 years as a Fire Alarm Inspector
  • NICET II Fire Alarms Systems certified
  • Mostly T&I, some install
  • AA Degree in Fire Science
  • Santa Ana College, California
  • NAFI Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI)
  • ICC Fire Inspector II
  • ICC Fire Plans Examiner
