Admin Director for Guardian Support Services, INC. Former chair of ASIS.

Over 25 years of physical security experience. With a background in physical security hardware and technology. Executive Protection, guard force, and increased risk protection services. BS degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Current Board Certified by ASIS International as a CPP and PSP. Held NREMT Certification as an EMT-Basic for 12 years.

Currently serves as a security consultant helping organizations develop and implement strategies to reduce risk and increase safety and security. As wells as an instructor for multiple domains of risk management and security. To include ASIS Certification Review Programs.

Duncan Havlin, MBA

Director of Sales for North America Security at Teledyne FLIR and has nearly 3 decades of experience in the security industry.  He has both a BA and MBA and has lead sales teams for several well-known security companies such as Motorola, Pelco, OnSSI/Qognify and Brivo.  He is well versed in VMS, access control, video analytics and thermal camera technology.  In his current role at FLIR, he manages a sales team covering both United States and Canada.  Duncan spent over 20 years in the Pacific Northwest and now resides with his family in Reno, Nevada.


The NWAFAA is an Affiliate Association Partner of the Automatic Fire Alarm Association serving the Pacific Northwest. This organization brings together Engineers, AHJ's, Vendors, Installers, Manufacturers and End Users in the fire alarm industry to further the industry.
